Welcome to
Spring Nursery, Poplar
We are a private setting based in East London, and have been operating from this preschool since January 2020, having gone through successful Ofsted registration.
At Spring Nursery, we aim to nurture children through their early learning experience by using the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum as guidance to build upon foundations already laid at home.
We are here to support and work in tandem with parents/guardians, who are the child’s primary educators, and believe that a good relationship is vital to help each child be healthy, safe, enjoy and achieve their full potential within a safe and caring atmosphere.
Values and Aims
At Spring Nursery we aim to provide a warm, safe, engaging and stimulating environment with fun filled experiences and opportunities to learn and to ensure the provision of an expansive high quality selection of resources and activities to facilitate that and aid them to reach their full potential.
Ethos
Spring is a time for growth, new beginnings and the promise of potential to bloom and endless possibilities. A seed planted in a garden, a field or a plant pot on a balcony has the potential to be cultivated to achieve its best.
At Spring Nursery we take a holistic approach to the learning and development of not only our children that attend and their families, but that of our staff too, in an environment where all are valued and supported. We see learning as a process, taken in stages at an individual pace most appropriate, and, as unique as the child themselves; providing a tailored experience that is fluid and naturally progresses your child’s development.
Aims and Objectives
To nurture children’s learning and development in all areas as outlined in the EYFS.
To provide opportunities in learning, encourage curiosity, and exploration through play.
To promote self-discovery and enable all children develop their skills to the best of their ability.
To uphold and maintain the standards and guidance set by Ofsted, keep up to date with all new regulations and be reflective of that in our practice.
To encourage strong positive relationships between the staff and children, so they feel comfortable with the staff and the setting.
Maintaining a good working relationship with parents/guardians and children and staff alike.
To ensure good communication skills are in practice throughout the organisation.
To ensure confidentiality is kept at all times.
Working in Partnership with Parents
We aim to develop and maintain a strong relationship with Parents/Guardians, establishing good communication and partnership with them, in order to promote the children’s learning, and providing opportunities to extend their learning at home as well as in the setting.
Having good knowledge and understanding of our children and their families will enable us to be responsive to their individual needs and aid us in ensuring their needs are met.
We believe working with parents is essential in a child’s education and development.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Spring Nursery is culturally sensitive and reflects the diverse community it serves, giving value to religious and cultural needs.
Each child is recognised and valued as an individual in their own right, and we endeavour to promote and nurture the children’s learning and development whilst valuing and appreciating diversity, providing equal opportunities for all children no matter their age, gender, ability, disability or culture.
